Buttons the Clown

Buttons the Clown provides a program of comedy magic and stories. He weaves the stories and magic to create pictures in the minds of the audience. Audience participation is an integral part of his programs. His shows can be tailored to fit any age group. A special appearance by Puff the Magical, Mischievous Rabbit puppet is a favor ite of the children. Buttons ex plains that most of the comedy and magic in his show came from books. Many of the books are available in most l ibraries. He wil l demonstrate some magic that came right out of a book in the public library. He encourages the children to investigate the worlds of comedy and magic for themselves through reading.

THE MAKING OF A CLOWN

Another show that Buttons offers. In it, he goes through the transition from person to clown as he puts on his make-up and costume. He explains the make-up process and the history behind it. He also gives a brief history of clowning, explains the types of clowns, and tells about the places clowns work and what they might do. He answers questions from the audience about clow ns and clowning during the make-up demonstration. He ends the program with a short clown bit. He encourages the children to further ex plore clowning through reading.
