A dancer and storyteller, Susan fairly revels in poetic ballads, both ancient and modern. She is expert at recreating historical figures Marie Curie, Mary Shelley, and more. Susan says, "Give me a place to stand and I will take you someplace else." We say, "Let's go!"

Rock Springs, Wyoming

John Beach knows well the Old West and the New. Broadcaster, teacher, historian, and longtime storyteller, John shares tall tales, true tales, and "rejiggered" tales set in the West, often accompanied by musical instruments.

To listen to the Stacy's poetry is to take an emotional journey on a roller coaster road. Song, narrative, and rhythms of rock and soul, all blend in her powerful performance. Many think Stacy is the poet laureate of Colorado Springs. They could be right.

Julie, a fifth-generation Coloradoan, is a musician and storyteller with a national reputation. A masterful teacher of voice, story, and several instruments, she presents inspiring stories and songs for all ages, many based on her experiences with wilderness and wildlife.
CHERIE KARO SCHWARTZ
Denver, Colorado

She weaves an interactive web among teller, tales, and audience. Cherie shares Jewish and international folklore, family and original stories, all with heartfelt style. She is the author of Circle Spinning: Jewish Turning and Returning Tales and two other engaging folklore collections.


JOHN STANSFIELD
Monument, Colorado

Since 1979, John has performed tales and ballads from the West--and the world. Wilderness advocate, historian, and award-winning author of the new biography, Enos Mills: Rocky Mountain Naturalist, he has been called "Storyteller Extraordinaire" by the Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration, Colorado Springs.

Storyteller in word and song, musician, composer, writer, historian, multiculturalist, Pat Mendoza is a one-man folklife festival. His stories come from wherever he goes South Pacific islands, the cities of Europe, the rivers of Viet Nam, and the mountains and plains of North America.

Dennis is Colorado born and Arizona enchanted, a combat pilot in Viet Nam, an ocean sailor, and award winning oral historian, and a life-long storyteller. Stories from fact, folklore, family, and fantasy - he tells them all, deftly and engagingly.

Lafayette, Colorado

Dynamic actor, singer, and storyteller Bett Kopit tours her acclaimed one woman show of storytelling and singing throughout the nation, but the small towns of the American West are her favorites. She's expert in the uses of the performing arts in education.

Australian storyteller, musician, and world traveler, Paul Taylor worked with Aboriginal people in Australia's far north where he took up the musical tradition of the didjeridoo. The Austin Chronicle calls him "... didjeridoo and storytelling master, the ever charming and funny Paul Taylor."

Lewisville, Texas

Teddi Shush (Bear) has used stories to teach about Native America since 1969. Rooted in the oral tradition of her native Laguna and Apache heritage, her animated storytelling is often spiced with song and dance.
