The Nineteenth Annual
Rocky Mountain Storytelling Festival

And Workshops

Sponsored by Colorado Performing Artists, Douglas County Libraries and the Wildlife Experience

The Rocky Mountain Storytelling Festival has been presented every year since 1989. It has taken every person attending to a magical place where anything can happen, where one can relate to other people, where dreams, heroes and heroines, and fantasies are real. The Storytellers that have been featured throughout the years are the best of the best at bringing all of this to the audience. After you see what is going on at this year's Festival, please go to the Festival Archives page and enjoy the storyteller's biographies of the Festival's past.

Featured Storytellers for the 2007 Festival are:

Teddi Shush Duncan
Sapulpa, Oklahoma

Teddi Shush (Bear) has used stories to teach about Native America since 1969. Rooted in the oral tradition of her Laguna and Apache heritage, her animated storytelling is often spiced with song and dance.

Angel Vigil
Denver, Colorado

As an award winning author, teacher, director and storyteller, Angel Vigil's specialty is the oral tradition of the Hispanic Southwest. The author of the Eagle of the Cactus: Traditional Stories from Mexico, he was a featured performer at the 2006 National Storytelling Festival.

Kate Lutz
